Honiton needlemade mesh ground handkerchief

Excellent condition, handkerchief folds.

Mesh-type ground. Motifs are more advanced thatn Snails/sluggs style. Cross-strung bars in outer flower petals. The grapes are something I haven't seen in Honiton before. Interesting piece.

Note from the seller:
The lace comes from my Great Aunt's collection, Kathleen Tipping, who lived in Bedford and later Newton Abbot, Devon. I believe some of her pieces were used to illustrate books. As a child, some of her knowledge rubbed off on me, but other things have entered my head since and I am struggling to recall what I once knew, so your email has been very helpful.
